    The Role

    The position of Despatch Team Leader is responsible for the leadership of the Despatch team. The primary function of the role is to execute the production and manpower plans within agreed guidelines and quality standards.

    You will be open to forever changing and challenging environments, be a strong leader, a team player and willing to support a programme of continuous improvement. You will be required to supervise and support the Despatch team in delivering the plan, build upon the team’s skill base and guide the team in performing in a professional and efficient manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Management of manpower
    - Propose and implement efficiency improvements
    - Be a coach and mentor for your team
    - Managing daily dispatches involving packing, strapping, and quality checking
    - Coordinating the loading of containers
    - Ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe workplace
    - Planning and prioritising work schedule
    - Ensuring the highest standards of Quality control
    - Management of stock takes and usage of ERP system
    - High level of communication to different areas of the team e.g., sales, production, finance

    To be successful in this role, ideally you will need to have:

    - Strong leadership skills
    - 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity
    - Experience in Stores, Warehousing, or other Logistics experience
    - Being hands-on and practically minded, and enjoys hard work
    - Computer / system literacy
    - Strong / friendly interpersonal skills
    - A good sense of humour

    This role is primarily a day shift; 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, although these hours may change when covering for team absences as required. We’re looking for someone flexible and willing to change and grow along with the the business.
